Just some pics

Makena just waking up from her nap. She likes to come help me make dinner after her nap, until she gets distracted and ends up disappearing to go play with Naomi!













We had a fort building day and Austin was playing peek-a-boo. This was also the same day that we took him to his 1-year checkup and immunizations. He was such a happy baby!












Naomi and Austin seem to have a special bond. It is almost as if he knows she is the oldest and she takes care of him like a little mommy. It would be so neat to see these brother and sister bonds and relationships carry on throughout their lives!

Austin's 1st Birthday!

Well, my last baby is getting closer and closer to not being a baby anymore--Chris said it is our last 1st birthday. I never thought of it that way, but it is true. I was a little sad at first thinking of it that way. Then, I started thinking of all the awsome things to come yet! I am so excited for all the memories left to make, I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. School, sports, friends, church, camping, movie nights, summer nights, good times, and bad times. It is so hard to live in the now, but I think in the long run, that is the best way to go. Leave the rest up to God. Here are a couple of pictures of my little "baby boy" that is so dear to my heart and to the hearts of everyone he meets! --He will always be my "baby boy".

He is so close to walking, and will be even closer now that Aunt Wendy brought the walker over!

Daddy Beauty Makeover

This is a Dad that loves his little girls so much that he is willing to sit still and let them cut (pretend, of coarse) and blow dry his hair, put jewelry on him and smile through the whole thing! It was so fun to watch!





































Austin didn't approve of the headband! I would have to agree with him!

Project Time!

I think one of my most favorite things I like to do with the girls, especially during winter, is craft/project time. It lets them be so creative! Ok, so I get to be creative, too. They love showing their finished project off to Daddy as soon as he walks in the door. (I forgot to mention that this time also keeps them occupied for a good amount of time, too!)



















Naomi puts a lot of time and concentration into her projects, and sometimes gets frustrated when it doesn't turn out exactly how she wants it.


















Makena will have to learn to jabber and accomplish a task at the same time. While she also loves to participate in projects, she often gets distracted and asks Mommy to help her finish. :>)

Finally, A Post!

I can't believe it has been over a month since I have "blogged"! Time has been just flying by. I also have a really good excuse! Ever since Austin started to pull up and cruise along things, like my desk--I can't get any work, or blogging done! He pulls the keyboard and mouse down, and while I am putting that back together he is into the desk drawers slamming his fingers in them. He is so fast! I can't keep up with that boy! Oh, and he also knows how to hold down the main on/off button to the whole computer to turn it off. Then, I take a deep breath and pick him up and decide that I am not meant to get bills paid, or emails checked, or blogging done at that very moment. I give in to the little person at my feet smiling up at me like I am the most important person in his world! That is my life right now, and it is passing by too fast for me, seeing as how Austin will be having his 1st birthday on the 26th! I also will make a small little note that I am officially 30 now.
So, below are some pictures from the last month or so to catch everyone up. I do have to say that writing on my blog is kind of like therapy in a sense that you get to sum up what's going on in your life and look back on it and appreciate it even more than normal. I hope everyone is enjoying the sun outside today, and wishing for spring!

Daily Exercise Time!

Pilates anyone? I started my workout in the other room and the girls wanted me to get out the yoga mats and next thing I know, Naomi put in my Pilates video! They were doing really good! Is that a sign of motivation for me or what!?













Of coarse, Austin is very good at exercising his clapping hands!
